BE A JAZZ VOLUNTEER
WHY VOLUNTEER FOR THE INVERLOCH JAZZ FESTIVAL?
When you volunteer for the Inverloch Jazz Festival you are assisting in one of the best ways possible to support jazz and contribute to the success of the festival. Our volunteers share a passion for the festival and the music, and help build a strong foundation for our community now and in the future.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING?
Our volunteers find their involvement in the Jazz Festival is an opportunity to make new friends and express community pride. You also get see some of the Festival for free, depending on your hours contributed.
WHAT WILL I DO AS A VOLUNTEER?
We need volunteers to carry out tasks with a wide spectrum of physical, technical and interpersonal skills. We make every effort to place volunteers where their specific skill sets fit and we want our volunteers to feel comfortable in their positions. Volunteers are scheduled on a first come basis.
WHAT IS MY TIME COMMITMENT?
We encourage volunteers to be available for a minimum of four hours over the duration of the festival but even a two-hour stint as a Door Usher, for example, is a valuable contribution.
VOLUNTEER TASK AREAS
All roles are coordinated by members of the Jazz Festival Committee but they need help to make them workable, so please consider volunteering for some of the tasks below. Apart from the Festival itself on Friday evening and all Saturday and Sunday, other major periods of help required are:
Promotion and Publicity
Distribute posters, postcards and brochures to your local area and hot spots - cafes, restaurants and businesses, even your colleagues and friends. Easiest job ever! Email us to request materials.
Musical Program
Hospitality
Patron Liaison
If you like working with people then these are the roles for you. Covers 11am until 11pm time frames so we need lots of people to spread the load.
