They perform a diverse repertoire of vocal and instrumental Big Band music, from Dance band classics through to contemporary Jazz orchestra compositions. Throughout its history, the band has performed for thousands of audiences within Australia and around the world. Today, the RAN Band continue a proud tradition of providing ceremonial, musical, and public relations support for the Royal Australian Navy.

Jazz vocalist Anita Harris has been gigging around Melbourne and has brought her swinging, mellow style to Inverloch for many years. With four CDs released on the Newmarket labels, she has been ably backed by some of Victoria's best jazz musicians, and often offers some unusual tunes along with those well known favourites.

Anne's warm tones are blended with Peter’s intricate and playful piano and Leon’s driving String Bass rhythms in this Chamber Jazz Ensemble.

Ever-popular band led by outstanding saxophonist Ron Anderson, Cul De Sac plays great jazz ranging from Brubeck to the Beatles.
The band has been together for many years and it shows in their relaxed playing and enjoyment of each other's company. This is a band not to be missed.

A lively band of misfits lead by the sparkling Ruby Ray, Dr Jazz are here to bring the party so put on your dancin’ shoes! Putting their stamp on the best swing tunes from the past, combined with toe tapping original tracks and some sneaky tunes of today, everyone will be having a ball - especially Ruby, our little pocket rocket! Featuring Ruby Ray on vocals, swing & tap dancing, Andrew Darling on vocals and talkin’ trumpet, Michael Arvanitakis with his curvy mistress the double bass, Nico Di Stefano playing smokin’ guitar, and Michael Di Cecco on deadly drums with a dash of washboard. |
Dreamboogie A modern Blues act, firmly embedded in the Blues, imbued with the original sound that the act works hard to develop. Drawing upon their individual influences, they are determined to present Blues music that is vital, and attractive to today’s audiences. Since the formation of the group in early 2010, they have appeared at many festivals, toured Australia, performed live to air on radio, and built a solid following in their home town. |
Five in the Bar This is “trad jazz-gone-mainstream”, ably led by trumpeter/vocalist Richard Desmond and accompanied by a groups of superbly talented jazz musicians, including Inverloch’s own Neville Drummond, the founder of the Inverloch Jazz Festival and its musical director for a number of years. |

Jake Amy and the Groove Hunters
Jake Amy and his 5-piece outfit present a jazz/soul fusion screaming with sax lines, hot rhodes, pocket bass, grooving drums, and funkadelic 70s sounds. They have performed in some of the hottest jazz clubs, such as Melbourne's own Paris Cat, with their unique and eccentric style of performing delighting audiences of all ages. The conversations between each player are intuitive, and this results in a highly energetic performance. |

Jazz Squad has been around the jazz scene for the past six years, and is comprised of some of Melbourne's finest and most experienced musicians. The swinging sounds and compositions of such great composers as Ellington, Basie, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hart shine through.

JANA GARJANA DHOL PATHAK Indian Drumming Band
Jana garjana means voice of common people. Janaganrjana Dhol Pathak was formed here in Melbourne by Satish Gaikwad in Jan 2016 along with his Nephew Parag Gaikwad and friends for Maharashtra Mandal Sammelan. They both, with the support and participation of their friends and family, taught the techniques and beats. Their performance being a huge success, they kept getting more and more offers and the Pathak continued to get bigger and better. These guys will perform on Saturday after the parade, and at about 2.30 on the grass between the Hub and Warrawee. Don't worry you'll hear them. |
Katerina Myskova and Her Quartet
Katerina Myskova studied at the Prague Conservatorium, and build a considerable reputation as a jazz vocalist in the Czech Republic. Since arriving in Australia she has assembled a quartet, performed in clubs, bars and at corporate gigs around Melbourne. Katerina brings sass and style to the jazz standards and latin beats she loves. |

Formed in 2014 Ladies Be Good is a group of friends who wanted to get together, perform and be different from all the other bands playing - a strong front line of ladies sharing beautiful music with lovely musical interpretations. In their repertoire you’ll hear some well-known jazz tunes and more. Stunning vocals, interesting arrangements and talented musicians, combining youth and experience they love what they do and have a whole lot of fun doing it. |
Lillian Albazi Quintet
Growing up Lillian was inspired by the voices of Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday and her alluring presence brings to mind the ease of these old school ladies of the past. The Quintet are graduates of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University, where they were guided by and worked with renowned Australian and International musicians. |

The band has been together for many years, and is a regular performer at the Festival. Always a great crowd favourite, they specialise in music from New Orleans – arguably the home of ‘traditional jazz’, bringing new tunes (and some old) to audiences every year.

Next Jen
Next Jen is an upcoming six-piece jazz band from Melbourne who have been playing together since 2014. Passionately playing standards ranging from traditional jazz to bossa nova, their music encompasses the rich history and diverse styles within the depth and breadth of jazz. In 2016, the band was professionally recorded and produced their first album with Bill Armstrong AM, following their performance at the Australian Jazz Convention. |

This is a superb modern jazz group playing the tunes of Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane, plus Latin and Jazz standards. In their vocal selections they pay tribute to the late, great Johnny Hartman.

Led by master musician, Ron Anderson - this time at home on the piano - the trio is returning to the Festival after missing the 2015 Festival. They were sorely missed by their many fans.

Rory Clark Quintet
The Rory Clark Quintet, led by pianist Rory, brings together some of Melbourne’s finest musicians. At this year’s festival, the quintet is presenting the classic jazz standards sung by vocalist Johnny Harman who featured with the John Coltrane Quartet in the 1960’s. The quintet features the incredible baritone vocals of Brian Abrahams who toured with some of the biggest names in Jazz. On bass is Geoff Kluke, the virtuoso who’s toured with many jazz legends. On drums, Scott Hay, an in-demand drummer who’s performed with Rory for the last decade. Roger Clark, founder of Dizzy’s Jazz Club and distinguished musician is on alto sax.

The Slipdixies
We formed in July 2015 and our repertoire is 1920's jazz, varying from hot driving rhythms to silky smooth ballads and the blues. We play old favourites, that will get toes tappin' as well as obscure treasures, sinfully forgotten! We recorded and released our debut album called "Babyface". Our album has had airplay on ABC RN, PBS and number of other local and interstate community radio stations and jazz programs. Copies will be available for purchase at the festival. |

Trionic have evolved a unique aesthetic that includes exploring the nexus between composition and improvisation - particularly with regard to the interplay between movement and stasis. Their music consists of written and improvised parts and incorporates electronic processing including loops, constantly looking for ways of moving the music forward while maintaining it’s connection with the original motivating idea. |

Wonderdogs
The Wonderdogs were formed in 1994 and over the past 23 years have performed at many Jazz Clubs and Jazz Festivals across Victoria and New South Wales. The band also released two CDs since its formation titled ‘Kids Love Dogs’ and ‘A Good Clean Show.
The band’s repertoire includes traditional Jazz tunes form the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s played with energy and enthusiasm. The Wonderdogs are well known for their strong driving rhythm section and tasteful solos performed by the front line. As a five‑piece group, clever arrangements and the versatility of the members make it seem larger. Certainly the enthusiasm of the players and their ability to "connect" with their audience has ensured ongoing popularity. |
