Band Information
Band Registration has closed 30/11/2005

Information for Band Leaders / Musicians
This year 2016, all Bands and Musicians wishing to play at the festival must fill in the online registration forms. This is so that Musicians Names can be
put in the Program, entry badges can be issued, and address's collected for cheques to Individual Musicians. No “To Be Advised” please!

Registrations closed on Friday October 30th 2015
Bands Selected to perform at the festival will be notified by Nov 27th

The band leader should check with all the musicians listed in the band to ensure that each consents to be a member of the band and that they are in no more than two other bands, and that each has a reasonable intention of attending the jazz festival, before filling in the form.
All programmed spots will be 1 hour, which includes set-up time and clear-up time. Stage managers should not have to remind band leaders of this condition.
Every attempt will be made to program each band for two sessions. To facilitate this, we must limit the number of bands that we invite to the festival.
Musicians are encouraged to join in the Saturday morning Street Parade. Meet 10am at the Chinese restaurant at the bottom of A'Beckett St.
Programmed areas will have available a Piano, and drum kit,   Bass, keyboard, and Guitar amps will NOT be supplied.
Quality P.A. gear is supplied for vocalists and acoustic instruments.
At least 2 Photos must be sent in so that they can be included on the Website/program/Press and also a brief 3 line description of the type of music you play. The term “mainstream” for instance does not mean anything to the uninitiated. Eg. Sweet Ade. Recorder and jazz like you’ve never heard them before!  This unusual trad band plays early Australian jazz, jazz standards, golden oldies, world music, poetry settings, klezmer and more.  Expect a unique mix of instruments, variety, surprises and fun.
Imagine what you would say to sell your band to perform at a pub or wedding. It's that sort of thing.
We want to put a description in the program so people in the street can be drawn in to buy a ticket to see you!
This year we would like to increase the entertainment factor – Eg. More vocalists, more repartee, dressing for the occasion, and make your band a slick act. Remember, to some people in the audience it is the first time they have seen jazz. We want them back next year and we want them to tell the festival organisers what bands they enjoyed.
Be prepared – Be entertaining – Be Happy

For musicians wives/partners – A $20 Ticket can be purchased at the festival.
