Apply to Play at the Inverloch Jazz Festival 2025
Thank you for taking the time applying to play at this year’s Inverloch Jazz Festival. The music director will take the time to assess all applications. Priority will be be given to availability, genre, the limit of musicians to three bands maximum, and compatibility with the overall festival plan.
Please note that to keep the festival viable for 2025 and into the future, the IJF committee has found it necessary to scale back in some areas. The major decision that affects musicians is we will now only operate four venues over the weekend, which means fewer slots are available. We sincerely hope that this will enable us to give performers more of a share in any surplus to help cover some of the cost of attending (we allow approx $130 per musician/$1000 total for big bands), although nothing can be guaranteed as the surplus is directly related to ticket sales.

Selection Information
We have many bands wishing to appear, so they are selected with the following criteria in mind:
- We want a diversity of jazz genres: something a bit different will have more chance of being selected.
- Bands should currently be playing at public venues, and those with a vocalist are highly regarded.
- Evidence of skill should be provided through YouTube, CDs, or links to sound clips.
- You MUST provide a high-resolution in-focus photo of the band, min 1800px wide. Facebook photos are not suitable.
- All spots are for one hour, including setup and exit. PA gear, grand pianos and drum kits are provided, but not keyboards or bass amps.
- Musicians must not be in more than three bands due to potential scheduling clashes.
- Before you submit, please discuss with your personnel the bands they are playing in, and their availability over the weekend.
